Onyx is a stray who appeared one day in a cat colony maintained by our rescue group. Unfortunately, he did not receive a warm welcome. As an older cat, he was bullied by the younger, established males in the colony. Fortunately, our volunteers noticed, and help was on the way! He was treated by a vet for his injuries, and he was also diagnosed with entropion, a painful condition where the eyelid rolls inwards. He underwent surgery and is completely healed. He is safe in the care of CITC, where he has a comfy bed, plenty to eat and toys to play with, but he wants his own family.

Onyx is a very affectionate cat and is looking for a quiet home where he can be a companion and lap cat. He is a beautiful all black cat with thick fur and a great purr and he is ready to be cherished. Because he is a special needs FIV+ cat, he would need to be an only cat.
