Meet Hemi!

Hemi was adopted from NBCR as a kitten. She is sadly being returned to us as her adopter's life situation has changed.

Sweet little Hemi was rescued under the direst circumstances. She was left in a parking lot with her front left leg severed and her deceased sibling lying next to her. Hemi was a short time away from dying herself when a good Samaritan stumbled upon her and rushed her to a vet clinic where they were able to save her life. What remained of her leg was cleaned and sutured, she got started on fluids and antibiotics and given around the clock TLC. With the care she received, she not only survived, but thrived!

Hemi is a sweet, gentle tripod cat with a quiet soul. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and comfortable, she is such a sweetheart.

Hemi would do best in a calm, peaceful, stress-free, and predictable home without other pets or young children, where she can settle in at her own pace and feel secure. She loves cuddling up beside you in bed, where she's happiest enjoying quiet companionship and lots of love.

A few of Hemi's favorite things are nibbling on catnip and oat grass, chasing lasers, eating yummy treats, and digging for a feather cat teaser under rugs.
